Fedora hats are the hottest fashion access for the 2010 men’s spring fashion season. According to Wikipedia, “A fedora is a felt hat that is creased lengthwise down the crown and pinched in the front on both sides… The brim goes all the way around, and often there will be a hat band as well… The term fedora was in use as early as 1891. Originally a women’s fashion into the 20th century, the fedora came into use in about 1919, as a men’s middle-class clothing accessory. Its popularity soared, and eventually it eclipsed the similar-looking Homburg by the early 1920s.” These fedora hats have been spotted on numerous celebrities, and are considered a fashion must. The hat accents the features of a male with a strong chin and jaw. It gives men a sort of reminiscent 1920s gangster appeal. A few celebrities who have worn these striking accessories are Tom Landry, Michael Jackson, and Daniel Newton. Even Indiana Jones wore a fedora hat! Fedora hats, believe it or not, go with many outfits. The traditional colors for a fedora hat are gray, black, white, and tan. Although in modern day times a fedora hat can be almost any color.
